My dd 13 asked me yesterday if she could go to a friends after dancing at 7pm. I said no because it would mean going out later to pick her up and dh is away at the moment and I would have had to take ds too. Turns out they all went to under 16 night at local club and she couldn't go.
friend said she could go round today and sleep over but as yet hasn't been in touch. I feel like a right misery. I know I am a bit of a control freak and hate last minute plans but feel really bad that she has had to stay home all day.Should i relax a bit like all of her friends mums?
Have name changed in case she reads this.

speak to friends mum to make sure pick-up and sleepover are ok

last minute plans are a shitter but you have to get used to it!

Wel, I would have wanted to know about the under 16 night in advance so maybe Im an ogre too. I hate last minute ideas and IME with older teens they usually involve plans that with time to consider, parents wouldn't approve. So I'm with you, I'm afraid. If she wants to do things like that then whay can't they be planned in advance?
