I have the opportunity to join my husband abroad on a temporary work trip, which will be approximately 4 weeks long (husband works abroad and I won't have seen him for 3 months at this point) This is literally other side of the world, once in a lifetime opportunity as we could never afford such a trip ourselves, well not anytime soon. The offer for my 16 year old to join was there but he wants to stay behind. He won't be alone, he has 2 older siblings aged 20 and 23 both living at home and both can be trusted. He also has grandparents close by who can pop in. He is responsible in that he can cook, do washing, has a part time job etc however he has issues with his moods, he has massive outbursts, he works his way out of them usually within 30 mins but they are uncomfortable to be around, never aimed at anyone, just himself. I have spoke with him and he is eager for me to go, but I worry he doesn't realise how much I actually do for him, he said this was a good way to find out and help him get more independent. He knows he won't have a free house so no concerns around parties. I just can't settle my mind on a decision. I know its a selfish decision in that it will benefit no one other than me and my husband which is why it isn't sitting well with me I suppose 😔
