What menstrual cup for a 12 year old?

Hello, my daughter started her period a year ago and she is adamant that she would like to use a menstrual cup. The reasons are environmental but also that she sees me use one, it does not smell, it's cleaner, etc.

Do you have any suggestions as to what brand may be best for a young girl?

Thank you!

Has she considered the logistics of emptying it out at school bathrooms? Or do you think that won't ever be necessary? Obviously I don't know the facilities at her school....

Thanks for your replies. I have thought about the logistics @Changethetoner and it would be ok at her school. It is a new build with self contained cubicles with a sink.

I’ll get her to do the questionnaire.

An excellent choice!
As she has had periods for a year she should be fine with a "small" size cup (40 mm diameter). Low cost ones are perfectly good and are available from Amazon and Ebay.
My DDs love the Evo cups and many of their friends use them too, especially as they are perfect for swimming, and no string to drift into view!
It is unlikely she will need to change at school, unless she stays for after-school activities. In the UK cups are now - or should be - available to pupils from schools free of charge.
A little KY jelly or similar water-based lubricant round the rim is helpful at the start.
I hope that helps.
