Hi Just that really to be fair she can’t go out much right now as A levels are starting but driving license is the only form of ID worth taking out round here so she’s worried she’ll be without for ages

DD passed her test on Saturday 1 April. Examiner took her licence from her that day to send off.
We went on holiday and it was back waiting for her when we returned on Tuesday 11 April.

DD passed in February, as per a PP, the examiner took her provisional and she got her full licence 5 days later.

She can drive with the certificate to say she passed. She doesn't need the licence back. Just make sure insurance is updated

My sister passed her test on Tuesday last week and got her licence in the post on Saturday!

I hunk the Op' Dd is talking about using your licence as photo ID when they go out drinking. For some of DD's friend's it is the only form of photo ID they own. Some other's also have their passport but, obviously, don't really want to take that out in night's out incase they lose it.
