DD is really struggling to get to sleep despite being exhausted.

she wakes at 7am for school and is so tired she goes off to bed at 9.30/10 but then stresses all night she’s not sleeping.

is it the exams or something else?

Probably exams.
Remember all the stuff you were told when they were little? Exercise & fresh air, off screens early, good wind down regime. Try that as a starter.

This was me. I literally begged the doctor for sleeping pills. Luckily they never gave me them.

I would do as.above poster suggests but also get her to learn to deeply relax. This was a technique my amazing GP got me to learn from a nurse 30 years ago and I still regularly use. Get her to do it daily during the day. Once she has.lesrn the technique she can.do it in the night. https://www.google.com/search?q=yoga+nidra&oq=yoga+n&aqs=chrome.4.69i57j0i433i457i512j0i402i650l2j0i433i512j46i340i512j0i512j0i131i433i512j0i512l6.5184j0j4&client=ms-android-xiaomi-rvo3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Sounds like exam stress. I would suggest getting more fresh air and exercise. Ar least 1 hour not revising or looking at screens before bed and looking into mindfulness there are some good apps I just can't think of their names at the moment.

My DD likes good old fashioned family board games to relax.
