To want to spend time with 13yo

Four sleepovers since holidays started and wants to stay out and have another tonight.

I can't decide if it's valid to think she's out/(or in her room) too much and we don't see enough of her, if I'm jealous (because I have a shite social life) - or I just need to suck it up.

I know it's what she should be doing at her age, so it's probably suck it up. Just feels like the balance is wrong.

How much time have you spent with your teen this holiday? Have they left the house with you?? And what have you actually done with them???

We have eaten together, and been to the shops once.... the rest of the time they are either in their rooms or out.... they don't want to spend time with us anymore!

I have three teens. Supper together every night (no phones) is non negotiable (unless they're out). And over the holidays they are coming with us to visit grandparents, and for a meal out with old friends. Apart from that, I don't really mind what they do. They can be out or in their rooms as much as they like. We do suggest stuff (eg "want to watch a movie tonight?") but don't insist on it. I've spent quite a bit of time with the eldest this holiday doing driving practice.

So not unusual then... I just miss spending time with her, but also feel like I don't know what she's up to - new friends, (and therefore parents) she's staying with.

I just forced DC1 (15) to come to Tesco as I’ve barely seen them so far! We have dinner together every evening but otherwise they are happy in their room or out with friends.

Like a PP we will invite them to watch a movie with us later but half the time it’s declined. We have family over on Sunday and they’ll be present and polite for that which is good with me!

It's the rolling sleepovers that are bugging me this week. I haven't seen her since Weds evening!
