The Daily Struggle of Chronic Fatigue - Help Needed

I've been feeling like I haven't slept in 48 hours every day. My GP keeps prescribing me sleeping pills, but they only make me feel worse. I've tried taking supplements like relora, ashwagandha, and seriphos, but after three weeks, I still feel no effect.

During the day, I feel like a zombie, but after 7 pm, I get a sudden burst of energy and can complete tasks I couldn't do earlier. I don't know what to tell my GP anymore. I'm at my wit's end and feel frustrated lying in bed all day, feeling weak and tired with no energy. I've been on fluoxetine since August 2022, but the effects have worn off since January. I've tried to improve my health by going for walks and eating a better diet, but nothing seems to help.

My GP hasn't been much help, so I've decided to take the private route and see a private doctor. I have a call scheduled with my GP to discuss changing my medication. If anyone has any advice or similar experiences, please share!"

That does sound really hard @bgwti22 but I think you've done the right thing in making an appointment to discuss medication change.

I have a family member we with chronic fatigue. After much research and consultation with a private Gp he has begun taking low dose naltrexone. It's been life changing for him.

As far as I know there is a small but significant amount of research supporting it's use in chronic fatigue.

Good luck, I know from him how debilitating it can be.
