My 13 year old DD has been using a Boots charcoal and tea tree face wash and it's making her face red and sore. Her skin is generally quite good but sensitive with a few spots round nose and forehead. Can anyone recommend a good product that might suit?

I have quite sensitive skin and Simple cleanser has never bothered me in all my years of using it, it’s also pretty cheap and always has sales on at Boots.

Cera Ve is a great choice for teens. Not expensive, and generally considered to be a fab product. Available at Boots and Superdrug (as examples) and often has some kind of discount applied - 20% off, 3 for 2 etc

Thanks I'll take a look at Cerave.

I've started using the new E45 foaming cleanser because of my skin reacting to every5u g, and it's been brilliant - really gentle

DD liked Liz Earle at that age - you can buy a little started pack which was great for her to begin to figure out a skincare routine

Hi lovely the Bodyshop aloe range is perfect for sensitive skin it’s all natural ethically sourced products and aloe is full of healing properties for the skin! The body shop has a range for every skin type also if she is sensitive on her body too try the almond milk shower cream and body butter it smells Divine and is kind to sensitive skin

A vote here for Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions™ Cleansing Foam. It’s a bit pricey at £20.00 per bottle but worked really well when my older dd was a teenager and was prone to the occasional break out. Lots of other products were just too harsh for her skin and she tried a lot before finding out what worked for her. Smells nice and you don’t need to use a lot, so a bottle will last quite a long time.

Thanks for the suggestions, I got her a Cerave one and she seems happy with it.
