Books on econ/politics for A level student?

Any ideas of fun/stimulating reads for an A level student? Leftie and sceptical, already has graphic version of Das Kapital.

There's a really good series called A Very Short Introduction to.... by Oxford Uni Press which covers any academic subject you can think of.

Freakonomics is great and entertaining.
Also anything by Tim Harford

Marina Hyde's new book based on her Guardian columns over the last few years is on my list. Her writing is funny and clever, her politics are left and sceptical.

Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall. Subtitle is '10 maps that tell you everything you need to know about global politics'.

Doughnut Economics by Kate Raworth and Nudge /inside the nudge unit

I got on very well with George Orwell at that age, Homage to Catalonia in particular.

Prosperity without Growth by Tim Jackson

Has he watched any of the Oxford and Cambridge union debates? Some of those are really interesting. They're all on YouTube.
