Any idea what this is?

For context- Dd 15
Has been in with the ‘wrong crowd’ for the last year. At least one of them has been dabbling I’m drugs. I’ve found this small white pill, which fell out of her dressing gown when I was putting it in the wash. Definitely not anything recognisable like paracetamol
Any ideas?

Looks exactly like the ibuprofen I take. Also it wouldn't make sense to have a recreational drug in your dressing gown pocket. You're more likely to have an ibuprofen in your dressing gown - and going out drugs in your going out clothes.

Normando91 · 08/06/2022 23:00

Looks like the cheap 39p ibuprofen I buy from Home Bargains. They have no markings on. I’d be careful how you bring this up with her if you do genuinely think it’s something untoward.

jubileetrain · 08/06/2022 23:05

Ibuprofen

Any idea what this is?

My SIL is a pharmacist. Do you have a closer pic of both sides and will ask her?

cottagegardenflower · 10/06/2022 13:56

If it has not writing or marks on it maybe a tic tac

Strawberriesaregreat · 10/06/2022 14:13

What about taking it to a pharmacist for identification? It doesn't have to be today. Then if its drugs think you'll have to confront her.

Strawberriesaregreat · 10/06/2022 14:15

Look at id for drugs inline? Or put zanex under images then youll see what they look like.

SwissCheeseRentedChildren · 10/06/2022 14:22

Can you photograph it next to something that gives an idea of size?

Is it flat or tube-like?

Could it be something like a magnesium or calcium supplement?

I'm trying to imagine a situation where you wouldn't ask your child what it was in the first place.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 10/06/2022 14:29

Looks just like DH’s OTC hayfever tablet

Favouritefruits · 10/06/2022 14:38

Definitely a tic tac

IstayedForTheFeminism · 08/06/2022 22:41

Looks like a tic tac/ibuprofen/paracetamol to me.
Trying to remember what my sons sumatripan look like, i think they have markings of some sort.

sumatriptan are quite little, oval and light pink, not white.

Looks like paracetamol or ibuproften to me, OP

User237845 · 11/06/2022 17:47

ibuprofen, sorry typo

NicolasSarkozysCumDumpster · 11/06/2022 18:16

If he’s getting into the wrong crowd I beg you to do your best to stop it. At your DS age I was getting phone calls home for drinking, trust me it’s a path he doesn’t want to go down

She.

DarlingDarwin · 11/06/2022 19:02

Tic tac that’s already been through the wash? Perhaps it’s been in there months. That would wash the coating off.

DarlingDarwin · 11/06/2022 19:03

Also second the post saying hayfever tablets

Jins · 11/06/2022 19:04

Looks like my antihistamines. Generic cetirizine.

Mushyrule · 11/06/2022 19:06

I have some vitamin supplements that look like that and are chalky with no markings.

LouLou198 · 11/06/2022 21:04

Can you put a coin next to it to compare size? Depending on size I would say antihistamine or ibuprofen.

Pinkyxx · 11/06/2022 23:04

It looks like a tic-tac. It doesn't look like medicine as most pills have at least some embossed markings on them? You really need to ask her in a non-confrontational way what it is.

lifecanbehardattimes · 11/06/2022 23:33

Put it on the side near the washing machine. When your dd comes along then tell her you have this tablet that came out of her dressing gown pocket. Her reaction could be interesting!

lifecanbehardattimes · 15/06/2022 11:45

@Maccydies what was the outcome?

RuthW · 15/06/2022 11:46

Looks like my ibuprofen
