Best period swimwear for teens?

Hi all - looking for recommendations for period swimwear for teenagers, particularly plain black bikini bottoms. Period pants weren't a thing when I was a teen (wish they were!), so looking for brands you/your teen daugthers prefer. Price isn't an issue, fuctionallity (absorbancy, comfort, discretion) definitely more important than value for a new and nervous teen!

Modibodi have nice black bikini bottoms. I bought them for DD and she loves them - we are in Aus so they have got a lot of use especially as mix and match bikinis seem to be in fashion. I think they also do a fairly modest plain black swimsuit that would be good for school swimming etc.

Modibodi. They fit true to size, so do use measurements. My DD has the swimsuit, it’s great but the cups have a habit of moving or inverting, which at 11 she finds quite hard to manipulate back into the right place. Despite the cup issue it is a well fitting suit and works so she can swim when she has her period.

DD2 is a keen swimmer who trains 3.5hrs a week. She has the plain black Modibodi one, she was a bit nervous to try it at first, so used it beginning/end of her period, but has grown in confidence since. She isn’t 13 yet and not ready for tampons.

Wow, I didn't know this was a thing! How do they keep the blood in? I would have loved this option as a teenager. But can't see how they are different to swim nappies that don't contain the wee?
