I’ve just found indecent images of a 16 year old on my 13 year olds phone. These were sent in several texts. The 16 year old is asking for pictures of 13 year old. I know who the 16 year old is. What do I do? I’ve spoken to my 13 year old about this subject many, many times.

@rrhuth I agree. I think some of what goes on between children and teenagers is what psychoanalysts would call "sexual exploration" - and it's often very difficult to know where the line is between that and something clearly very inappropriate.

AnyFucker · 29/11/2021 19:12

You have been very careful to not reveal the sex of either of these children. Why is that ?

Christmaswindows · 29/11/2021 19:15

@AnyFucker It shouldn’t matter or make a difference what their sexes are.

Indeed. But I am interested in why you have deliberately concealed it.

I think it is easier to see the line than people make out, tbh.

No it doesnt matter if they are girls or boys. Hope your 13yo understands how serious this is and listens to you.

Christmaswindows · 29/11/2021 19:18

@AnyFucker Whenever I post anywhere in relation to my child or children I rarely use their gender unless it’s relevant. I do not believe it is relevant here.

Ok. No further derailing from me.

Mantlemoose · 29/11/2021 19:27

Police. You have a 'legal' adult sending and requesting pictures of a minor. Why would you even hesitate?

MiracleBaby2022 · 29/11/2021 19:28

@rrhuth yes I think you're probably right

Police, then inform school
