Best contraceptive pill for 14 year old?

My DD has very heavy periods which can involve leaking even with nighttime pads and period pants. She does a sporting activity which takes her away from home a few times a year to compete and during these times she could really do without having her period.
Are there still pills available that allow you to run two packs together to prevent a bleed? (It’s been about 30 years since I took the pill!). She doesn’t need the contraceptive side of the pill (yet!) and am aware for that purpose the injection would be a better bet but it’s the ability to skip a period that is crucial.
Are any pills more suitable to younger teens than others? Thanks

I think mefenamic acid can help with heavy periods,my dd was given microgynon which helps, she takes it none stop because of severe period pains so skips some periods altogether.

With Gedaril you can take packets consecutively, DD2 takes it for the reasons you describe above. 2 packets then 4 days break. Or if more convenient, 1.5 packets then break, or 2.5 packets then break. If DD goes more than 2.5 packets then she gets breakthrough bleeding. It is fab being able to avoid holidays, exams or whatever.

The other option is tranexamic acid which reduces flow but the pills are gigantic.

DD1 started on the pill at 14 for same reason so age should be OK I think.

My dd takes rigevidon I think. She can run packs together if she wants. You can do it with most combined pills

The injection isn't really suitable for that age group as it can affect bone density.
