Private mental health support Southampton area

Hi all,
I don’t often post here but I am hoping to find some help for my DS and am at my wits end. He is depressed and anxious and has attempted suicide twice in last 3 weeks. CAMHS is not really helping. They are overwhelmed and have only seen him once since the first overdose, and I get literally no feedback about how they think he is doing.
I am seeking more frequent intensive mental health support in the Southampton area.
Any recommendations or places to start looking? TIA

Sorry you and your DS are having such a tough time. There isn't much in this area, I would think the best bet would be a remote consultation via zoom with private child and adolescent psychiatrist. You may need a GP referral to access this depending on the clinician, although if you have any communication from CAMHS that might suffice. But you can certainly start the ball rolling with getting an appointment as there is a (much shorter) wait for these too and then ask GP for letter.

Your best bet is probably the Priory in Southampton. But just be aware even privately there might be waiting lists as adolescent services are in such high demand.

We went through The Priory Southampton for DD during lockdown.
I'd try them.

Thank you for your replies - I emailed The Priory and they replied saying they don’t treat young people at the Southampton centre and our nearest is Oxford, so is this wrong do you think?
My GP is pushing for him to see a consultant psychiatrist soon as all this time we have been managed by CAMHS support workers.

Sorry The Priory can't help you. DD wasnt 'as bad' as your DS and we weren't looking for the level of therapy and support you are. How old is your DS? (My DD was 16).

There is a Childrens Mental Health board (or the main Mental Health board). They might have ideas.

Hi. Sorry to hear this. That must be so difficult. My DD had some issues in the summer and a friend recommended a psychologist for anxiety. I'll pm you
