Anyone done the Non Violent Resistance course? Lack of supporters.

It seems OK so far. Very much pick your battles even when it comes to ignoring shocking behaviour that wouldn't usually be tolerated. Having 'permission' to follow my gut there has calmed things down a little.

However it looks like a core part of the course is to bring "supporters" on board to reinforce my messages, speak to DD if needed or allow me to spend more time with my eldest. But I don't have anyone, my family moved away and will not back me up with parenting. I'm not sure how I can make this work all by myself?

Has anyone done this course all by themselves and made it work?

Hi Meglet. Not done the course but I think I remember you from the September 2008 antenatal threads (no idea what my username was but I didn't post a lot). Just wanted to post in solidarity, little did we know what would be coming our way 13 years later...

Hello. Yes, I was on there.

I never really name change. I did once and ended up answering my own thread a while later Blush.

Grin I wonder if any of the rest of us are still around and have started posting/lurking on this board? Teenager wrangling feels so different (and emotionally loaded). It's like being a new parent again. But without the cute outfits Confused

I get quite quite wistful about cute toddler clothes these days. Took up less space on the line too.
