My DS has just started to get the odd spot. What do people recommend as a gentle but effective face wash that he can use everyday?

La roche posay effaclar always gets loads of recommendations and rightly so. I would also get some pimple patches for him

Thanks. £18.50 for the cleansing gel Shock. We'd have to have a practice session where I teach him that less is more, which is a motto he usually lives by!

Effaclar Duo. (The "moisturizer"- even breakout prone skin needs moisture or it produces more oil) Changed my daughter's life at that age.
The facial wash is good- but you can get similar cheaper- Cerave for oily skin has the same salicylic acid in it.
Nip & Fab Teen Skin fix also has the same ingredients.

Yeah it is pricey, you do get a big bottle compared to others though. Second getting a moisturiser too. For pimple patches just get some cheap ones off Amazon, they should draw out gunk from the spot but I think the best thing is that they stop you from picking! Wash his pillowcases as much as you can (buy cheap spares). And if it’s possible discourage hairstyles that rest on his face (I couldn’t manage this one with mine). Best of luck and if it gets worse and you think it might be acne just go to the drs there isn’t many home treatments for acne

I usually get it from Look Fantastic on 25% or 33% off. The facial wash bottle is ginormous.
