Teenage Curfew Time

Quick question. What time do you make your teenagers come home if they're out at the weekend? I feel like I am constantly negotiating times with my 16 yr old DS. Would love to know what time everyone else sets.

It's a moveable feast. Depends on who they're with, how they're getting home, where they're going, what the weather's like.

It's bloody annoying constantly negotiating but I don't think you can have a blanket time

She’s 16 in a few days and only just started being out late in the evenings and I’ve gone with 11pm. I live in a reasonably safe city where it’s positively heaving in the summer months until much later than that though. People here don’t even eat until 9pm.

My DC16 doesn't have a curfew. So long as I know where they are (can check on find my phone), who they're with and what they're doing I'm happy to just ask what time they'll be back. Has to text me when leaving to come home as well as when they get in (I'm often asleep by then). We got to this by DC proving they were trustworthy before and having a great group of friends who I know all the mums and have their numbers too.

My DC is 15 and has a curfew for 11pm at weekends, will be allowed out later if at a friends house etc but only if I’m picking them up or getting a taxi home

Thanks so much for the replies. I'm in London and there have been so much trouble in the parks my ds has been going to in the evening but I feel mean saying be in by 10. Oh my god teenagers are so complicated. I want to go back to toddlerdom.
