Looking for advice really about my 15 year old daughter, who i am very worried about. She has been referred to the family eating disorder service by her GP (but 2 weeks in and still heard nothing) and has an initial consultation with Camhs next week for anxiety/depression.

She has seen a few counsellors but hasn't carried on with them and the other day said she thought it was pointless going to them again as she thought there was something else going on. This is our view too. My suspicion is that she has inattentive Adhd and the anxiety, eating disorder etc are symptoms of her trying to control something else that she knows isn't quite right in how her brain functions. I could be wrong though.
My question is what do we do first? Wait for Camhs (i think i know the answer to this as i was told the waiting list is 18months), seek out a private adhd assessment or go privately to someone who might help her with the eating disorder? Do we tackle the 2 issues separately, at the same time? arggh!
Does anyone have recommedations for where to get an assessment done? I don't know if it is adhd, it might be something else, so i'm not sure if i should go to an adhd specific clinic or not? Should i get her to do one of those online ADHD asessements first?
Any recommendations for eating disorder help for teenagers?
We are based in the south-east.
TIA for anyone who might have gone through this as a parent and can help with recommendations or advice.
