Bedroom rules for teens? Friends, girlfriends etc

Feeling a bit out of my depth here! DS1 is 14, he has a girlfriend plus girl- and boy-friends.

What, if any, rules do you have regarding teenagers spending time with girlfriends / boyfriends / friends at home? Are they allowed to go into the bedroom? Doors open / ajar / closed? Allowed to sit on the bed?

I know I sound daft but I didn’t have a boyfriend until I was 17, and we lived very rurally so didn’t have many friends round.

At 14 wouldn't allow girlfriend boyfriend in bedroom at all.
My dd is older 18 so I do allow at this age since 17.

My 14 year old DS would rather die then bring his friends or girlfriends round to our house so haven't had to think about it yet. We are apparently so embarrassing he would rather pretend we didn't exist.

Definitely door open!
