Pre-university meningitis vaccine?

DD is off to university in September, barring pandemic, flood, alien invasion etc. She was on a gap year this year.

I’ve got it into my head that she should be having some sort of meningitis booster before she goes. I’m sure she didn’t have one while she was in sixth form.

Is this something that should be happening? How should she go about getting it if so?

Speak to your GP surgery, they will know.

I think they get it in year 9 now. When it first came out I think they were catching up the 18 yo.

I had to pay privately when mine went but I believe it's given out to all teenagers now.

She's probably already had it (Men ACWY). My current second year uni student had - first cohort to have had it at school I believe.
