Teenager left home

Anyone had a 17 teenager leave home? Did they stay away or come back with their tails between their legs. I've asked him to come home, but he's staying with a mate's mum and is determined to get his own flat. College know and are supporting him and me.

I'm torn between letting him just get on with it and really begging him to come home.

My heart is breaking.

Nobody can advise without really understanding why he's left. What reasons did he give?

Loving support is the best you can do. I'm guessing there was conflict. Just sit tight text your there for them and love them then try to leave it be for a while, you know they are safe. Things blow over and settle believe me I know.

How are things now

joined the army & still comes home for some long spells (4 yrs later)
