DD13 is asking permission to watch Breaking Bad. On inspection of netflix history, she has already started (2 and a half episodes through). WWYD?

I'd ignore the fact that she's already watched a bit and just answer her question re. does she have permission to watch it.

I'm quite lax on age ratings but 13 is too young for breaking bad IMO. Not sure how you can handle the fact that she's already started watching it before asking your permission though.

Have you seen it yourself? If not I always like to look at IMDB (internet movie Data Base) and find your tv show/movie and scroll down toward the bottom for "Parents Guide" to detail everything out.

Here is the one for Breaking Bad which also shows the certification is 18. www.imdb.com/title/tt0903747/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg

The violence and gore is a lot. There is a reason it is an 18. At 13 it would be a no from me. The psychological effects of seeing that could be quite damaging and play on her mind. And of course she will have friends who are watching it. But once you open the 18 door, where does it stop?

It is intended for adults to watch not 13 year olds. I am a bit lax but no way for Breaking Bad. This is a line from the parents' guide "A prostitute goes down on several men in a montage sequence. No nudity."

Still want her to watch it?
