What scooter brands aren't "lame?"

My 13 yo wants a stunt scooter for her birthday but is worried as to what brands are good and not "lame." I have no idea so thought I'd ask here. I wouldn't want to embarrass the lass 🙄

The only thing I would say was both my DS had grown out of their scooters by the age of 13. Apparently scooters at secondary school are uncool. Not sure if the rule applies for girls though x

My 13 year old owns a Blunt Prodigy he got when he was 11 and it was his prize possession he wouldn't be seen dead on a scooter now.

My son has Grit Atom, but the madd gear MGP ones are the top affordable ones.

Scooters are a big thing here possibly because we have a relatively new skate park.

Wow, I had no idea they cost that much. It's something she won't even use that often knowing her. She'd been looking at ones one Amazon that are around £50 and was quite happy with those but then she's suddenly become conscious of the branding. I understand that and she's being bullied already so don't want to add to it.

If she feels she will get bullied if she doesn't have the right brand I would probably not get one at all, if its for use at the skate park unless she is quite competent at tricks etc that will probably be another thing for the bullies to target her for. Honestly round here the boys do the skating etc and the girls do the hanging around watching them. I know that is awfully stereotypical but it is the reality. Unless she actually wants to use a scooter regularly I wouldn't be spending the hundreds needed for the 'right' brand.

Slamm are a good middle bracket brand that aren't humiliating. My daughter has one. Just don't get anything from argos like cheap razor ones.
