Teenagers

Parenting teenagers has its ups and downs. Get advice from Mumsnetters here.

Custy, I want you to write a book on parenting teens and I shall get it published for half all the profits and when you are interviewed on This Morning I insist that I go along.

There is a gap in the market for a parenting book for teens and who better to write one?

You write it, I act as your agent right? 50/50 split plus joint telly interviews (you can do all the local radio crap by yerself). Whaddya say mate?

seconded

It would be full of asterisks, no?

I'm not sure about the teenage thing as I don't read any of those threads but I did lol the other day when I read her post of the lapdancing thread. I was sitting there lurking and thinking surely someone is going to come and say they would bloody murder their husband if they went to a lapdancing club and paid for private dances and then she did, well not murder exactly but something along those lines.

I was very relieved to say the least

sorry, couldnt get on t'internet last night needless to say firefox is my new browser and bill gates can kiss my arse.

is there really a gap? i can tell a funny story or two but i think my parenting methods are a bit extreme in that on the one hand i am very strict, but i make them sing i the car. tis the law. and i bought my eldest vodka underage.

see theres just no consistancy!

lissiethevampireslayer · 14/10/2007 20:13

oooh custy, you could be the claire verity of teenagers, go on tv shows and divide the country! think of the power you'd have.

mumblechum · 14/10/2007 20:15

I'd buy it but you'd have to insist on editorial control, ie as much swearing as you normally do

Tortington · 14/10/2007 20:15

it would have to have a rating on the front.

CappuScreamO · 14/10/2007 20:17

oh this should definitely happen

only the other day I was thinking I should cut and paste custy's replies to teenage problems and keep them for when my kids grow up and mumsnet is full of 24 year olds talking about prams

RubyShivers · 14/10/2007 20:22

I often read Custy's advice and will myself to memorise it so I can use it in 15 years time

MorticiasMother · 15/10/2007 17:24

custy mate, it's happening, but I might have to up it to 70/30 to me cause I'll be doing all the hard work like, erm, cutting and pasting and stuff like that. Oh and I'll need someone to write the blurb in the front and we have to pay people to say things like "I couldn't have managed without this book!" or "A must for every parent of teenagers!" Course we could just get family to do that or make it all up ourselves.

We'll discuss the finer details when I see you next weekend.
