Quarantine from Andorra for DD 16th

Lotty32 · 06/08/2020 21:10

So DD and I flew out to Andorra to see my older parents who live here. Just seen the news and we will have to quarantine for two weeks on return.

She will miss collecting her GCSE results in person, AND will be quarantined for her 16th bday.

Looking for creative ideas for the two of us to stop us killing each other in this period (and to limit my screen time - note mine not hers!)

Ps gold star if you know where Andorra is! Xx

I know where Andorra is as my husband has been skiing there (and loved it)

We should have been in Spain for DS’s 16th, with his cousins, and for his cousin’s 18th. I sympathise.

Can you work from home? Post holiday ironing (I’m joking).

I was happy to do quarantine, but FCO guidance changed before we flew.

Can you fly home tomorrow instead?

Good idea re flight but need to be here for a bit as stepfather just been diagnosed with cancer.
I am lucky as I don't work - just need to be able to keep busy!

Got a DD who is a bit younger and I've been in with her and her brother a lot of lockdown:

DD has painted her room / laying new flooring, flamingo lights etc would she like to redo her room?
We have 5 pets so takes up fair bit of time with home educated, if have pets anything could buy for them?
DD has asked for a sewing machine to make clothes
Art kits
Home exercise things like YouTube aerobics or get equipment or trampoline in
Netflix / Disney
Audible for books / Book club
Planning future holidays
Mumsnet Grin
Planned work needed on house / sorted paperwork etc
Music
Baking cakes etc
Making cocktails

That's sad for her 16th, maybe postpone it.
