9 year old with body hair

Hi all, my 9 year old girl has started to show body hair. We're not concerned about the private parts but she's terribly insecure about her arms & legs which are noticeably growing dark body hair. What can we do? I'm trying to instill body confidence but she is now covering up even in the heat. Is it too early to shave? Are there any gentle creams?

get her some of this hair removal cream. Follow the instructions on the bottle, but get her to do it in the shower so after she has waited for it to work, she can just wash it off with a flannel and water rather than the scraper. If she wears a bikini you can help her apply it to the back of her legs, and it can be used on the upper lip also.

Personally, I wouldn't use hair remover cream on my child because the chemicals in that stuff are awful. I would get her a safety razor and teach her how to use it.

It's nothing to do with her age - arm and leg hair isn't related to puberty. Get cream or a razor and show her how to remove the hair, and ignore the old wives tales about hair coming back thicker or darker. My DD was born with dark leg and arm hair , so I taught her to shave at 10. It was great for her confidence.
