How much time does your teenagers spend in their rooms

My DD 16 and DS 14 spend majority of their time in there rooms. They both seem happy enough but barely come out only eat or if I force them to play a game or watch a film.

Me and their dad divorced over 6yrs ago he was never about anyway lived away 80% of the year and not a great marriage. Both have moved on and happy with respective partners they are with me 99% of time.

Is this normal they both say they are happy and DD has a lovely room but I’m just a little concerned.

Very normal. My two have been self isolating for years!!

My son has been in training for self isolation since he turned 12. He comes out of his room for food, drinks, the toilet and a shower. He's going for a run every other day and he went and queued for milk last week after I had a meltdown.

I'm glad he's happy, healthy and safe.

I think its very normal for them to want their own space at this age. One of mine spends most of his time upstairs during the day and comes down for the evening, the other spends the day in the living room (on her own usually as I spend my day largely in the kitchen and garden and DH is at work on weekdays) but disappears upstairs in the evening.

Very normal if my DD is anything to go by. She actually said she doesn’t notice much difference now that we’re in lockdown and is enjoying the time off.

DD (14) is in her room most of the time. She will come down if we are all watching a film though and she is either going for a run or doing a HIIT workout with mr every day. DS(12) would be in his room if his games console was in there but we have a gaming room so he tends to be holed up in there either gaming or watching YouTube or in his phone. But he is going for daily bike rides with DH.
We have to drag both of them out in to the garden when it’s sunny like yesterday and today.
