How can I get ds 13 into the garden?

It's always too hot or too cold! Trying to get him outside is a trauma. We're lucky as we have a decent size garden but he's not a football type of person. He'll go on his bike but obviously atm that's only once a day.

We've started eating in the garden. At least then they seem to come outside and occasionally linger...Smile

Eating outside is a good suggestion. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother, if he’s going out in his bike once a day (or even every other!) he’s getting his fresh air. I’m not an outdoors person, I hate being forced out but will go and sit of my own accord if I fancy it. I’d much rather sit with the patio doors open! Sorry if that’s not very helpful! Grin

We've just bought a hammock! All fighting to be in it.
Seats in sun/ shade and decent wifi out here works for mineGrin
I have fairly low expectations but if i sit out sometimes one of the teens comes out too

I used to shouf upstairs ' do you want an ice cream? It's in the garden - bring a book ". Did the trick - for about 20 mins - then he'd disappear back upstairs. I gave up trying to persuade him to stay longer. He's currently stuck in his student accomodation and i'm guessing he's only leaving the house once a week to food shop. The garden there is a no go zone and the landlord can't/won't do anything about it atm as access is only through the house.

@bigbluebus - good call! Mine had Magnums in the garden this afternoon

Good call on the ice-cream *BCW^

I miss Blue Cow. I wonder what she's up to these days?

Yes I say he can only have snacks if he's in the garden on days like today. I'd just like some outdoor activities that he would do...
