how much pocket money do you give your teens?
my ds 15 gets £5 week,
dd 13 gets £2.
if they need extra money for any reason they ask for more, and depending what it is sometimes give it to them.

well i was 14/15 8/9 years ago so maybe things are different now but in my honest opinion it does seem like a lot. especially for a 12 year old.

but then i suppose things like footie subs you would be paying anyway weather it was in their allowance or not so it probably doesn't make much difference.

i think if its allocated to proper worth while things and being responsible with it and not just sweets and crap then i suppose its not as bad

juicy - I am trying to teach them you, you cant have everything, if they want to go cinema one week, then they cant also go social club twice a week or have phone credit. Or if they want to waste £15 on sweets and crap, they then cant do all the other things.

They seem to think, like most teenagers, that i am a walking bank and they need to do something every night of the week!!

DD is nearly 12, and she has never been given pocket money, but earns money by doing chores, jobs etc and as a reward for when she has done well at something at school or whatever.
