Your DS shoe size

Hello everyone, first post here.
I bought DS13 (14 in February) some school shoes in August. Adults size 9.5, at the time I thought that was huge as he’d been a 7 the year before. He’s been complaining that his shoes are too small for a while now so we went to buy some yesterday. Came out with a size 11.5!
He’s just over 6ft so pretty tall, what about your sons? Surely 11.5 at 13yrs is just too big

DS is 16 and has had size 9 or 10 shoes since he was about 13. He’s 5 foot 8 or so.

Ds2 is 16 and has been a size 11 for 2 or 3 years. He’s 6’3

My ds1 is 13 and 5'5 but only size 5 feet. All my family have small feet though and my husband at 6'3 is size 11 so not huge feet either for his height.

My son had just turned 12 when we bought his first pair of size 11s … Mind you his voice was already changing, and he was nearly 6 ft by the end of that year. Two years on and he's in 12 for trainers and boots, but 11 for shoes still, and hasn't grown much in the last year (to my surprise, I'd expected a few more inches based on our heights).

My ds turned 12 in November he is 5ft 6 and shoe size 9.5!

Hope this thread was intended to be lighthearted but just in case ...

Feet are very badly impacted by shoes that are too small. YANVVU to not get him new shoes as soon as he noticed they are too tight.

My DS is 14 and has size 13 feet and says they're s bit tight 😖 he's 6'4" and still growing (I'm 5'3" and his dad's 6'0"!) My 11 year old is 5'6" and in a size 8.5! They cost me a blinking fortune!

13.5 Yr old DS..... Size 10 shoes, 5ft11...or maybe a little more... Weighs around 9 stone I'd guess.

My DS is just 12, he's about 5 ft 1 and wears size 6 shoes (same size as me - I'm 5ft 7!)

Mine doesn't have huge feet (EU size 43/UK 9) - but he did have a massive growth spurt at this age - went from EU size 38/39 to 42/43 between August and Christmas just before his 14th birthday. His feet have barely grown since then.

6 foot and size 10-11 depending on the shoe. He's nearly 16.

Hi everyone OP here, sorry I haven’t been very active recently. Been busy over christmas

@Pythonesque - size 11 at 12yrs old! Did he ever reach 6ft?

@PsychosonicCindy - oh that’s huge for his height, are you expecting him to grow a lot more?

@3gingerboys - wow that’s tall! He’s must only be a few months older than my son, when did he turn 14?

@orangeicecream - sounds like my son a few months ago. Has he reached 6ft now?

@Roselilly36 - that must be annoying for the 18yr old. Is the 16 year old still growing.

Also btw how much do all your sons weigh? Ds is looking quite skinny but i’m not really sure what the typical weight range is at this age and height.

I'm expecting him to shoot up soon my dh is about 5ft 10 but I'm 5ft 8 and my brother is 6ft 2 so he might have my side of the family genes?
He is about 9st now, last year he was pretty chunky looking but has slimmed down a lot lately that's mainly because much more sport & PE at secondary school I think, at his primary they hardly bothered!

@Slimpotato1 he was 14 in March and still growing! I think kids are bigger these days, all the good food around. My son has always been big though, he was 3 weeks early at birth and was 7lb 11oz. Totally dwarfs me 😂

@3gingerboys yeah i agree it’s definitely the better nutrition nowadays. DS was born 2 weeks late! What is your sons weight at the moment?

DS is 19, 5'11" and a size 8. We all have small feet in our family, apart from DSS (DS's brother) who is a size 15 at 6'5".

DS1 - 16, 6ft 2 and size 12 or 13 shoes ( depending on what they are!). He's had big feet since he was about 12 - about 5ft 8 tall with size 10 feet

DS2 - just turned 11 - 5ft 4 and size 9 feet! I think he'll end up taller than his brother, but I'm hoping his feet won't be bigger than a 13 as that's a pain..
