Dd 14 really worried about climate change and leaving eu

So much so that she can’t sleep and cries at the awfulness of it all. How do I reassure her? It is awful!

I get what you say about visas and it's disappointing but I don't think it should be anxiety inducing exactly. I did have a visa and live in the US and it wasn't that difficult. Any my parents managed to meet and marry and live across Europe before the EU had the reach it does. So I see it as annoying but not scary.

My point was about visiting Europe. Anyone will still be able to visit Europe!

I think the scary bit relates to potential shortages of medication, food and essential staff rather than tourism. We don't know for sure there will be any but it is also not out of the question which is enough to cause some people anxiety.

But there will now be a transition period - which there wouldn’t have been at the end of October. Companies can plan. Supply chains can adjust - they have a year and most had already started. I’m not a Brexiteer but it is manageable.
