12 year old accused of providing alcohol

I have a 12 YOdaughter. Another school mum claims another 12 YO drank considerable amounts of alcohol at a sleepover at my house. When I followed it up, transpire the other 12 year has never been to our house let alone had a sleepover here. The other mother is now saying perhaps my daughter took the alcohol to school or to a third place where people got drunk. I have discussed this with my daughter and she denies it and the fact the mother’s story is changing is making me suspicious (I questioned the mother and she said words to the effect that I was in denial and/or whoever it was, we need to offer understanding and support as they are only experimenting). What should I do? Ignore her? Involve the school? Confront her? Senecal

Ignore.

I assume she couldn't have bought alcohol so must have taken it from your house, if the other mother is correct. Do you have alcohol at home, and is there any missing?

The parent is saying the alcohol involved is brandy - we have cooking brandy but it isn’t missing. I have told her this and said my children deny it and she saying I shouldn’t have discussed it with them. Her stories are not making any sense and keep changing - it was at my house, it was at school, it was somewhere else.

Actually, just writing this is really helpful as it makes me realise how crazy the whole thing sounds!!

I just don’t want her making unfounded allegations about my children. How can I stop that?!
