Advice on skincare for ds(16)

Ds hs fairly clear skin a few spots every now and then. His nose looks really congested though, slightly reddened and oily.
Does anyone have some advice for the best skincare for him? I'm thinking an exfoliating wash perhaps a peel off face mask would that help? I know he is quite self conscious about it. (aren't they all at that age😊)
I did offer to take him to a salon but that got a resounding no.
Tia.

Both my D teens who have similar skin to your DS (the occasional spot but not acne) like Clean and Clear gel face wash with Freederm rapid action gel to zap spots. The also have the Clean and Clear exfoliant scrub wash but use that very seldom as it scratches the skin and makes the spots worse. They borrow my black peel off face mask to get rid of blackheads on their noses too sometimes.

My dd has a few spots and she uses the antiblemish range from Clinique and exfoliates gently with the clinique 7 day scrub. There are a number of products in the range, but the cleansing foam is the one she likes the best. It’s not cheap, but a little bit goes along way.

Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser - my DS loves this as there is no faffing about. They do a men's range but it's just packaging he is happy to use mine!

The orange neutrogena salicylic blackhead scrubs are great. You can leave them on for bit to do a bit of a mask. About £3.
