Disconnecting a phone for 24 hrs?

Is there a way to do this? We're with Vodafone and I pay for son's phone. Threats to take away WiFi don't work as he can access 4G on this phone. Short of physically removing the phone, is there a way of getting it disconnected for short periods of time?

If the child's SIM is on a Pay Monthly service, there will be an option on My Vodafone (the online account servicing module) to enable a range of bars, which include outgoing calls + texts (can still receive, but can also block incoming if desired) and there is also an option for mobile internet, which blocks the network transmitter from allowing access to 3G/4G/5G on the handset.

If you cannot find this option or need extra support, please call Vodafone or visit a branch. They should be able to enable these options from their end, provided you are the account holder.
