What would your DD prefer for their 18th birthday?

DD is about to turn 18.

She had Reading Festival tickets as an early birthday present but I’d like to get her something keep-sakey to open on her actual birthday

She likes Pandora stuff so I was looking at a charm bracelet with a couple of charms

Or the heart necklace from Tiffany.

I can’t decide

Thanks!

The Tiffany necklace is more timeless, IMO

LadyGAgain · 06/09/2019 14:34

Yes Tiffany for sure (but then I dislike
Pandora with a passion)

Manontry · 06/09/2019 14:37

I remember getting slated on here once for suggesting a Tiffany necklace for dd. I ignored all the comments and bought her exactly the one you mention. She loved it and never takes it off (and she's very fashionable).

Atlasta · 06/09/2019 14:38

Tiffany definitely.

Mrsjayy · 06/09/2019 14:41

Mine got thomas stobo bracelets thry dont like pandora charm bracelets so probably the necklace HOWEVER dd 2 got pandora earrings for her 21st from her Aunt and sheloves them.

Manontry · 06/09/2019 14:44

Mine definitely wouldn't want Pandora

nicky2512 · 06/09/2019 14:45

I love the idea of Tiffany when dd is 18 (next year). Though she would wear earrings a lot more than a necklace so might look at those.

Springersrock · 06/09/2019 15:25

Thanks all! Tiffany it is then

DD does like Pandora, she’s got a few pairs of their earrings and loves them. Not sure how much a charm bracelet would be worn though

I prefer the Tiffany necklace. It’s a bit more classic IMO and I think it would get worn more

My DD asked for a holiday with her best friend. They went to Greece and had a fabulous time. She then bought a very nice watch from Links, with the money from her two grannies.

Mrsjayy · 06/09/2019 15:35

The necklace is nicer

CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt · 06/09/2019 15:46

Do you live near a Tiffany @Springersrock? Would you consider taking her with you to buy it or do you want it to be a surprise? The staff are so lovely and make shopping there a fab experience.

Springersrock · 06/09/2019 15:56

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately Grin) we don’t live anywhere near one.

I’d like her to have it as a surprise to open on her birthday really. She’s already had a main present so isn’t expecting to get anything else.

Thanks!

Yep, Tiffany is the way to go Smile

CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt · 06/09/2019 16:50

Haha @Springersrock I feel that Grin

I'm sure she'll love her surprise. Nothing beats a blue box in my eyes!

aibutohavethisusername · 06/09/2019 20:57

My DD just turned 18 this week. I got her a charm for her Pandora, tree of life and some matching earrings.

CrazyCatLady159 · 06/09/2019 21:11

The Tiffany necklace ... it wont go out of fashion and it's beautiful

My mum got me a necklace for my 18th and I never take it off, I'm 30 now and I love it! Always reminds me of her Biscuit

Springersrock · 07/09/2019 07:56

Thank you!

I’ve ordered her the necklace

Bet she loves it Smile

purplepoop · 08/09/2019 17:04

Mine want to go out for a meal. And ill buy her a necklace as a keepsake.

lljkk · 08/09/2019 17:10

I'm Shock that one would pay £130 for a simple silver necklace, tbh.
It looks dead boring but it's not for me so you can ignore that opinion
My nearly 18yo DD would want clothes, tbh.
And yes I gasp at the price of the clothes she likes, too.

CoolcoolcoolcoolcoolNoDoubt · 08/09/2019 19:18

Clothes aren’t really a keepsake though are they?

Some of my Tiffany silver jewellery is 10 years old, I’ve worn the pieces daily and they still look beautiful. The Elsa peretti floating heart piece is timeless too.
