Does your 13yo dd wear thongs?

Apparently I’m unbelievably old fashioned... happy to accept that as actually it’s probably true... I’ve said they’re inappropriate, uncomfortable and unhygienic (like I know?) but am I wrong? Do “all” 13year old girls wear them?

Common sense says the issue can be discussed without sharing intimate details of people children. I agree it's best not to share specifics in case it's a furry one.

Ok so this was not my finest moment... I’m currently staying at my mums who is not not at all well, and my dd (back at home) messaged me asking if I’d buy some items that I thought were inappropriate for her age group so I thought I’d consult the oracles... on reflection, at that time of night, I wouldn’t repeat. Yes MN HQ reviewed and, I assumed, decided I wasn’t a weirdo.
I can honestly say that everything I posted about how her peer group live is accurate, but would not apply at all to the inner city kids where I am now, where I grew up. I think she’s lucky in that respect.
Anyway, thanks for the responses, I’ve decided she can wait a bit.

Even if OP is not a 'weirdo', please do not post about your child's underwear on the Internet, your kids won't appreciate it......I can't believe adults need to be told that......our kids our so clued up on e safety, I think some adults could do with a few lessons in it.

I have worn thongs since around that age. I wouldn't wear anything else. I find them so much more comfortable than other knickers

There is far far far too much material for me on other knickers.

Can I ask why you find them unhygienic and inappropriate? (Not having a go or anything, I'm genuinely curious)
