Pocket money for a 13 year old

My DS is 13, and I currently give him £2 a week. He was okay with this for a long time, but recently he's been complaining that this isn't enough, his friends get more. He doesn't really go out much, prefers tochat on PS4 with his friends. When he does go to the movies, bowling, things like that we give him money, but he has to pay for any snacks or drinks. I assume the money would mostly be spent on video games. He doesn't have to do many chores, just clean his room and walk the dog. But to any other parents out there - What do you give your 13 year olds? Is £2 enough?

Mine gets £5 a week base rate and he has to empty the dishwasher and put his clothes away for that. He has the opportunity to earn more by working for me, which he is doing now it's the school holidays. He pays for all his own outings.

I was getting £3 a week as a 13yo in 1988.

That said, I also have a 13yo and he doesn’t get pocket money really as we just buy him whatever he needs, so he doesn’t need it. He is given money direct by grandparents though.

Ds, 15 gets £20 a week plus £10 a week off my mum. It's for his hobbies, his trips out with friends, gifts for family etc. We pay for his phone contract, clothes and guitar lessons.
