Going on holiday without 17 year old DD for the first time and feeling panicky. Any tips?

I'm going away next Monday for a week in the sun with DH and DD2. For the first time DD1 who's recently turned 17 refused to come with us. I know it's completely normal and I felt ok when I booked it but now I'm in a state. I know she'll be fine, there are plenty of friends locally who she can call if she needs anything, and she's pretty independent. She definitely won't be lonely. She's got lots of lovely friends who will be over most days. But there's no rationalising with maternal instincts. And right now they're screaming that I'm leaving the country and leaving my baby home alone. Anyone been through the same?

Im about to with my DS. We have been running what to do scenarios! Its quite fun. I pretend there has been a power cut and he has to pretend to manage it, then When he is running down his plan, I throw a spanner in the works, like the basement has started flooding why etc. I am very sure that nothing bad will happen, but at least he will know where the fuse box is and that the sump pumps wont run without electricity, how to talk to a police officer at the front door etc

Placemarking as we are about to do the same with DS. He is 18, 19 in a few months and is driving and working as an apprentice. He has quite a bit of responsibility, looking after the dog and cat and having to look after himself for 2 weeks. He can use the washing machine, dishwasher, and can cook very basic meals but not much else.
I hadn’t considered home emergencies but I guess there’s always FaceTime etc if we need to speak face to face.
I’m more concerned about him driving etc. I need this 2 week holiday but I know I’ll be in edge the whole time.

Give your NDN's your/an emergency contact number to call to complain about the noise from the party
Tell her absolutely no friends smoking indoors saves her having to repaint burn marks before you get home
Remove the sheets from your bed didn't realise where friends had disappeared to. eeewww
Put valuables and breakables out of sight took mum 5 years to realise one of her prized ornaments was very carefully glued together at the back
Check your household and contents insurance is up to date dh set MIL kitchen alight after putting on a late night snack and falling asleep at home at 17
