When did your son start shaving?

Just wondering what age your sons were when they needed to start shaving, how often etc? According to my yr 11 ds, loads of his classmates do, but this seems a bit early to me.

Mine started around 15yo but only once a month. Bumfluff with the odd straggly long chin hairs and all very patchy and fine so DH just took care of it once a month for them. Now in early 20’s from what I can glean it’s once a week as a spruce up (obviously all done themselves now), not hairy as such and if they wanted to grow a beard or similar I doubt it would really work.

DS is 16 1/2 and very fair - he doesn't shave yet but he is starting to get stray whiskery hairs around the chin and his skin has got coarser. I think he won't really need to shave till he's 18 ish.

Thanks everyone, sounds like my ds is pretty average...I still don't like it though

My DS16 is also quite fair and, though he has some facial hair etc, its not enough to need shaving.

14-15ish, now 16 (going on 17) shaves about once per week.
