Teen girl’s spots getting her down-GP visit?

She is very spotty at the moment , very linked to her periods-but I wouldn’t say it’s cystic acne or anything, just normal spots.

Is it worth taking her to the GP? I went on the pill at a similar age (nearly 16) for heavy periods and know that lots of friends did so for bad skin-is that still something that would happen?

Or will they just say it’s hormones?

Yes! DS has just spots rather than acne. GP prescribed Duac which cleared them up.

Yes - take her to the GP, there are lots of things to try and the pill is just one of them. My dd’s skin was transformed when she started taking the pill.
