My 18 year old DS wants to leave college. He does not want to go to uni and has always planned on doing an apprenticeship. Although he is not sure what he wants to do yet. His plan is to work for a year (bar work) and once he knows what he wants to do, look for an apprenticeship.
He is doing one A level and 2 BTECs at the moment. He has agreed to finish this academic year so he will have at least 2 BTEC certificates at level 3.
I am not going to try and force him either way, he is an adult now and must make this own choices in life however, I do want to to give him good advice so he can make these decisions. He has agreed to see the careers advisor at college.
He Is a good lad, polite, respectful and works hard in his part time job. I have no issues in this respect.
Any advice you would give would be appreciated or have you been through same with your DC? Thanks
