Has anyone any recommendations for careers advice

I have a 17 DD currently in second year of college studying travel and tourism, but she is not enjoying it and keeps threatening to quit. She has no idea what she wants to do and I am at a loss as what to suggest. General advice, is to ask what she likes doing, but to be honest she hasn't really any interests outside of socialising with her friends. She has always been conscientious and reasonably hard working at school, but no ambition. I would gladly pay for her to get some career advice if I knew where to go. Has anyone got any ideas?

www.nats.aero/careers/

Paid while training, very well paid, cheap travel (airline employee type cost), sociable, 35 days holiday.

Downside - shift work, no say in UK posting, work 6 days in 9, Once experienced lots of other possibilities.

if picked as an area controller then you'll be sent to Prestwick or Southampton. Tower controller anywhere from Benbecula to Heathrow.

Are you in Scotland or England? If Scotland, Skills Development Scotland can help, if England I think it's the national careers service. Both free. Is there a careers adviser working at the college, there often is.

The Nats site looks really good, I'm tempted myself, I will show her that tonight.

If she has any questions about NATS message me
