ds has not been well over weekend. has had a very sore mouth. due to mouth ulcers. not been able to eat. he is on the mend but I kept him home today. asked him about exams(mid day) and he suddenly remembered that he had a GCSE science module this morning. SHIT
have rung the school and all is well as he can resit it next year but am feeling like crap.

Poor 2shoes! Don't beat yourself up about it though. It can't be helped that your ds was unwell and tbh it is partly his responsibility to remember when he's got his exams.

oh he took the blame
but i am so stressed by these exams and we are only in year 10. how the hell do I get my head round it all.help

Yes, I agree, don't blame yourself. My dd didn't give me her gcse timetable, or the 'information for parents' sheet, it was only by chance that I found these amongst hundreds of other papers. Anyway, better it happened now that in year 11. If he tends to be forgetful then get hold of his timetable next year and stick it to the fridge where he is bound to see it!

Lilymaid · 18/06/2007 20:57

Nex year you should get a full timetable sent out - if you don't, ask for one. Ours has been on the fridge door for weeks and copied into the family calendar. Easier to remember when there are loads of exams rather than a one off.

I just email the head of year direct.... don't trust DS to pass anything on.
