Holiday with family you don't know?

Just putting this out there - thoughts on letting a 13 year old girl go on holiday for three days with her friend's dad and brothers (and friend!) plus another family with two other boys. I don't know either family at all. Gut says no but head says she'd have a great time. Torn....

Not sure, but my gut says if there is no mum going that is a lot of men/boys she doesn't know. So I would probably say no.

I would apply the same rules as to residential school trips. If you’re taking mixed groups away you have to have a male and female member of staff to accompany them for safeguarding reasons. I also categorically would not send my kids away to stay with people that I’d never met.
