HELP 14YR OLD NIECE SELF HARMING WONT GO TO SCHOOL

My 14 year old niece hasn't been to school in months, point blank refuses, her mum has tried everything but ultimately is at her wits end and cant take anymore. Shes self harmed, cut her hair off, physically aggressive to her mum, shes been dragged in her PJ's to school promised reward to go, punishment not to. Shes on her own dad is a A Hole. I'ts effecting her job, shes got social services involved there coming today but shes really scared about it.
My sisters now depressed and given up on the house work as a result and her job is suffering too. I believe something bad has happened to her with a boy at school shes not been bullied. She needs a Psyc assessment but neither school or mum can do it she has to go to the doctor but refuses. Shes defiantly got anxiety as will go out but not on her own.
Her behaviour is very worrying and concerning and i'm really worried her education is suffering school wont send work home so shes going to end up really behind. What can i do to help my sister and niece. Counselling isn't working she wont talk. She has a social worker through school but nothing has been done as yet she wont talk she shuts down.
I'm really worried for her and my sister who's a mess with it all..

Is their any trusted adult your niece could confide in, a teacher, friend of your sister? Sometimes those closest emotionally are the least we want to confide in.

Stranger Counselling isn’t always great for a distressed teen.
