They spend all year driving me mad, eating too much, making mess, ignoring me and spending all my money.. but today they have brought me breakfast in bed (croissants!), given me silly home made cards and a bunch of flowers, and made me 3 cups of tea so far! Aww..maybe they're not so awful after all! Smile
Anyone else been surprised by their teens today?

Last year he insisted on flying solo and cocked up spectacularly.....To my shame......I did not respond particularly well >

This year I dropped massive hints about my need for Costa Millionaires shortbread......

He went out and stayed out at a friends house last night, today I received a text at midday ish saying it goes without saying.....Happy Mothers Day. He said what time would you like me home...... I replied three hours ago... he just responded with Grin Grin

He arrived in this evening sans my Costa fix, but did point out that he rode his bike flat out to get to the local Costa to discover they had closed about five minutes earlier.

He gave me a card that had Happy Birthday crossed out and Happy Mothers Days inserted... Grin

And the best bit of all was the card was addressed to Sucker... when ever he manages to get money out of me that he has not earned or made a good case for I always transfer it with the reference MOTHERISASUCKER.COM. I love the fact that he felt comfortable enough to do that.

I looked at it and laughed out loud and he said honestly Mum, I really appreciate all you do for me.

When you use the point of reference that this time last year we were a family in the depths of grief and are still to a certain extent mired in it, he has come a long way.

As have I.

I bloody love my boy.

Ds 14, who has autism, wrote in my card that I am the best mum ever and this is ‘fact’.

He set an alarm for 2pm reminding him to go to the shop. Got my favourite sweets and put £10 in my card, bless Grin he has been saving his pocket money

shedmice it is indeed a fact.
lovemany you might have to name change.

Aw! Teens are so bloody fragile. Teetering on the brink of being all grown up.
I may have a little something in my eye.

My DD's card said I'm her favourite person and she would die without me!!
Later on I asked her to bring her plate down from upstairs and she told me to go away and leave her alone.
Got to love a teen!! Grin
