Hello to all! I am new hair but not to hair loss. My 15 year old daughter is thinning so badly that she has a windows peak. The doctor's keep telling me she's fine and it's all because of her illness's stress four months ago. Can someone please help me. Her hair fall is back to normal and I see regrowth everywhere except the windows peak sad(

I would definitely look into iron levels, b12 and possible pcos. May be stress related as well?
If her hair fall is back to normal that seems to suggest temporary hair loss? Any hair loss may be more obvious at the front.

Sorry last point sounded very obvious - what I meant was, it is a more obvious area to be fixated on.

Why thank you so much!! You see we have no balding in my family but sh does have low iron levels (10) and a fair bit of dandruff going on ~ sigh. I really hope this case will resolve itself as it's taken a toll on her outlook on life and self confidence. I'm very happy that her hair seems to be growing back but the left temple keeps receding. Is this normal? Her hair loss stopped a month ago

Iron levels need to be 70 for regrowth. Spatone sachets are great for absorption of iron. Take them with orange juice as but c helps uptake. Zinc is another supplement that might help, and also B vitamins. You could also try a caffeine shampoo like plantur (I think it's called that!), and scalp massage in the shower. For day to day quick fixes, try coloured dry shampoo if she's dark haired as it helps cover the pale patches of the scalp, or just normal dry shampoo got a bit of added volume and thickness. A fringe helps too, and a side parting. You can also get hair fibres that you sprinkle on the sparse patches that bind with the real hair. Toppik are good, cheaper from amazon. Bless her - it's a shitty thing (believe me I totally understand Sad).
