Screen/ phone time limits in school holidays

I am keen to set limits to screen time for the school holidays. DCs 14 & 11 will just spend all day glued to her phone if left unchecked. What are sensible limits at this age? Has anyone used apps for this?

I know whatever I decide will be deemed grossly unfair but I just can't face a summer with lazy, grumpy phone zombies.

TIA

I have DS 17 and 15. We're relaxing the rules over the holidays. During term time, they have restrictions. During the holidays, less so although I don't like them to have have their phones in their bedrooms at night.

I don't think you should set limits. How can you when the 14 year old is out and aboit with her mates ?

I've had a similar conversation with my two saying I do not want them on screens 24/7. If they're in all day they need to get some fresh air, read, draw, do a chore. It's more for Ds's benefit as he's the one obsessed. In the past I've given ds a timetable of stuff to do inc screen time & that works for him (he likes routine & schedule).
