It's only a few weeks away so need some ideas!

She'd like a new phone (old one is on its way out) which I will probably get but I'd like to get something personal too.

She mentioned something about earrings but I have no idea what to go for.

Or a watch?? She has an Ice watch which she's had a few years.

Any ideas gratefully received!

Dd1 loved this book when she turned 16. Dd2 got a bank account with some money in it, also an iPad

Younger sister wants to buy her Urban Decay naked eye shadow palette. But £40??!! Really? Is it worth it??

My DD (15) loves her Urban Decay palette so she's consider it worth the money.

I bought my neice & nephew watches for their 16th birthdays but my own DD doesn't really wear one. She's leaning towards another guitar at the moment.

Other than that i'm stuck for ideas but i have plenty of time yet.

My mum bought me a Gucci watch for my 16th.

It was about £300 which was tonnes for our low-income family. It wasn't a very good present to be honest. I was, and still am, too nervous to wear it in case it gets damaged. It's also a very classic style which, even at 30, I still think is too old for me.

I'd have preferred a wedge of cash Grin

Garlicansapphire · 27/04/2017 22:36

I think one thing my DD really wanted was Kylie Jenner lipkit.

MrsJayy · 28/04/2017 10:05

Dds got necklaces with their birth stones in them.

We had a shopping day and nice lunch.

So she picked some clothes inc a rather pricey jacket in Zara and then had £50 to spend in Mac.

V festival weekend ticket, links of London necklace, ultimate naked palette and jimmy chop perfume

Patriciathestripper1 · 01/05/2017 18:44

We bought dd1 a moped for her 16th,
Dd2 had a Raymond Weil watch, and a Gucci handbag and shoes for her 16th
Dd3 had a rib boat.

Patriciathestripper1 · 01/05/2017 18:46

When it was my 16th I got a meal out and some earrings. My mum and dad were skint when I was a kid. To be honest we were grateful for anything.

Aya2 · 01/05/2017 18:47

My mum bought me a tiffany charm bracelet for my 16th then ever year she's added charms (links of London tiffany' s far too expensive) and I've added charms, my friends have and so has my partner now too anyway as you can imagine it's become quite full and special to me

Scabetty · 01/05/2017 18:48

Dd was 16 last Autumn. She wanted a MK Selma bag. She also got wide plate GHDs. Her Gran bought her a Pandora bracelet. She is a very lucky girl imho.

Dancergirl · 04/05/2017 14:54

Have bought her:

-Silver earrings from Not on the High Street. Quite inexpensive but pretty
-Bath and Body works shower gel and lotion (new on Ebay)
-Naked palette Smile looks lovely, I'd like one myself!
-Jar of sweets with personalised label

She'll get the phone when we find a good deal. What do you think?

I had a silver necklace made for my daughter based on the symbol for one of her favourite bands (You Me At Six - based on their album cover for Night People which had just come out). It was about £150 and it went down very well. She wears it all the time. For Christmas I'm aiming to have a bracelet done with a different band symbol. (Bastille's triangles) or Lower Than Atlantis's wavy lines as Bastille do their own jewellery and we might get done for copyright!

FataliePorkman · 11/05/2017 00:37

Michael Kors watch- she nagged for ages and she does wear it everyday despite me thinking she wouldn't!

whyohwhyy · 11/05/2017 01:06

For my 16th my mum bought a wedding marquee tent. Hired a Dj. Caterers. And I had an all night party it was amazing. It was expensive (£2500) also they took me abroad for 2 weeks. I got a new iPhone and my gorgeous labrador. Plus cash.

My 21st they paid for myself and my Fiancé to spend 4 weeks in 5 * accommodation abroad. All inclusive with numerous trips etc they came too with family. I also got Pandora and charms. Earring Lazy, cash, Euros, handbag, shoes etc.

It's really down to the individual

QuiteUnfitBit · 11/05/2017 08:44

My DD would like a penknife, which I think is a great present. We're not really a clothes and makeup family, more of an active outdoorsy family, so I might throw in a pair of wellies. Grin I would like some ideas for those sort of presents.
