I have two teenage godchildren, a girl of 13.5 and a boy of 12 and I'm stuck as to what to buy them for their birthdays in March. I live abroad and so usually shop online. I have a toddler so I've no idea what sites are out there for the teenager and what presents are suitable?? I could send money but I want to be seen to be making a bit of an effort!! Any ideas anyone pleeasse?? Running out of time!!

jewelery for the girl and find out what games console the boy has and get him a game for it

Pink Tulips is right, every 12 yr old boy I know is permanently gaming - you can't go wrong by asking his parents what sort of console he has and what type of game he's into.

My 13yr old daughter would love a special photo frame and maybe a matching photo album, really nice ones. Would put photos of all her friends and best friend in them as this seems to be the 'in' thing for girls that age to do at the moment!!

Some teenage girls also have games consoles. My dd2 has a nintendo DS and often plays on it. She also loves music and is always listening to CDs. So it might be a good idea to find out what music they like.
Does your budget go to hair straighteners, if so they are the in thing for teenage girls at the moment.
